Westgate Oxford & Westfield London
‘Reliable and top-notch electrical services wherever the location or complexity’
Created in 1976, L’Occitane en Provence is a French luxury retailer of award-winning nature-inspired beauty and well-being products. The L’Occitane group now has a global network of more than 3,000 retail outlets in 90 countries.
AJS has provided electrical services for 50 of its UK stores – from Aberdeen to Brighton. This includes its flagship stores at Westgate Oxford and Westgate London.
The aesthetic of the stores echoes the vitality of the Provençal region and lifestyle. Feature lighting and soundscape are key to creating this atmosphere, and AJS were responsible for installing the LED lighting and AV systems, as well as the CAT6 data cabling. More fundamentally, we also designed, planned, and installed the power supply to the stores and the fire alarm systems.
“Oxford is a key strategic city for us. The store’s position at the Westgate Centre means we have the best of both worlds – we are part of the centre and on the high street.” Jamie Taylor, L’Occitane Property Director
The Westgate Oxford store’s enviable retail position presented the kind of logistical challenges you might expect from this particular configuration of open public space.
Westfield London, as Europe’s largest shopping and leisure destination – its 242,000 square metres set in one of London’s most significant regeneration zones – provided an even greater opportunity to demonstrate our capabilities.
For both projects, we cultivated cooperative relationships with the centre management to ensure that the process went smoothly, with minimal disruption, whilst applying Health & Safety best practice at all times.
‘AJS’s attention to detail, reliability and dedication to delivering high-quality service have made a significant impact on delivering multiple well received projects to our clients. I highly recommend AJS Electrics Ltd to anyone seeking reliable and top-notch electrical services for construction projects, wherever the location or complexity.’
